BYU student, entrepreneur, and dedicated tutor helping students reach their potential — while building a future in real estate and finance.
Working directly with executives on financial analysis and performance tracking across a commercial real estate portfolio. Handling tenant operations, vendor coordination, and property-level reporting day to day.
Managing a team of 4 tutors across the Utah Valley, specializing in students with ADHD and ADD across grades 6–12 and all subjects. This past school year I personally worked with 15+ students and logged 150+ hours of tutoring. Every student gets a personalized approach built around how they actually learn.
Completing my freshman year at BYU with a 3.97 GPA on a full-tuition academic scholarship. Active in the Finance Society, Investment Banking Association, Real Estate Association, and PE/VC Association.

I'm a sophomore at Brigham Young University pursuing a degree in Finance. My interest in finance started in high school when I founded Canyon Tutors LLC — a tutoring company I still lead as Founder and Head Tutor, with a focus on students with ADHD and ADD. I love helping others and seeing the people around me succeed.
While serving as a missionary in Tijuana, Mexico, I saw firsthand what financial illiteracy can do to a family. That experience deepened my drive to understand how money works and how to build real, lasting wealth. I'm pursuing a career in real estate investing and development, while remaining open to wealth management as well.
I was born in Rochester, Minnesota and raised across the Midwest before my family settled in Draper, Utah — a path that gave me adaptability, perspective, and a work ethic shaped by different communities. In Draper I became a two-time 6A State Champion in football and competed in the 100M dash in track. Outside of sports, I have a deep appreciation for musical theater and music — I play both guitar and piano. Between athletics, music, faith, and everything in between, I've built a life that lets me genuinely relate to most teenagers I work with. That range is intentional — it's one of the reasons I connect so well with the students I tutor.
Feedback from students, parents, and colleagues.
My son was failing his math class — so many missing assignments and he didn't understand the concepts. After the first session with Luke I knew right away this was going to work out. Luke has a way with teaching math. He explained things so my son could understand, and after the first week my son told me he actually did know what he was doing, he just needed it explained differently. Luke took the time to get to know my son and gave him confidence. Canyon Tutors is amazing!
Hiring Luke was the best decision we made in the 2026 school year. He took genuine interest in getting to know my son and I was so grateful for the help and motivation he gave him. Luke understood the assignment. He made the end of each semester no longer a dreaded month in our household. We are excited to continue next year!
Luke was fantastic at relating to my son and checking in and holding him accountable, while still being motivating. I appreciated the time he took to learn material before meeting on some of the harder subjects.
Luke you're an awesome tutor. You know how to relate with all the grades and ages! I really liked how you checked in with Cole weekly and worked with him as he needed. You were also really patient and flexible — which was so nice because high school and sports create a busy schedule.
Luke is amazing! We have worked with him for years. I love the weekly emails letting me know what my child needs to work on.
Luke gets Lucy to do work that she's hesitant to do. He keeps it positive and upbeat, but doesn't let her off the hook.
I appreciated how helpful Luke was and how much he was focused on getting better — not perfection.
Something that was helpful was that Luke always came prepared and knew how to help.
I liked how we had so much in common and he makes learning fun.
He's super chill and helps me a lot.
I loved how he was supportive and nice.
Always helped me calculate the grades and what I needed to do to stay on track.
I would not have done well on any of my chemistry or math tests without Luke. He always comes prepared with formulas and methods to teach. Best tutor ever!
Businesses I've founded and actively operate.
A private tutoring company serving the Utah Valley, specializing in students with ADHD and ADD. We tutor all subjects across grades 6–12. Canyon Tutors was built around one idea: every student learns differently, and the right tutor makes all the difference. We match students with tutors who actually connect with them — not just cover the material.
Applied finance projects with real deal analysis and deliverables.
Conducted full buy-side due diligence on a $46M multifamily acquisition as part of the Peak Capital Case Competition, sponsored by the BYU Real Estate Association. Built a comprehensive investment model and issued a formal buy recommendation.
Exposure to DCF construction, sensitivity analysis, and IRR underwriting through coursework and case competitions. Still early in developing these skills professionally — but actively learning and applying them every chance I get.
Foundational exposure to multifamily acquisition analysis, LTV structuring, and cap rate concepts through my internship at Salt Canyon and BYU case competitions. Still building these skills — but deeply interested and committed to growing in this area.

4-year varsity player at Corner Canyon High School — two-time 6A State Champion. Football taught me how to compete, lead, and perform under pressure.
Deep appreciation for performance and storytelling. Musical theater sharpened how I communicate and connect with people in ways that pure academics never could.
Multi-instrumentalist. Music is how I decompress — there's something about building something that sounds right that mirrors the satisfaction of a clean financial model.
Competed in the 100M and 200M dash. Sprinting is a discipline of precision — hundredths of a second matter, and so does preparation.
Boston Celtics, Broncos, Red Sox, and Red Bull F1. I also actively play golf — the mental discipline of the game keeps me coming back.
Earned the highest rank in Scouting. For my Eagle project, I organized and personally delivered hygiene kits to children in Guatemala — an experience that reinforced the value of service, planning, and follow-through. Values I carry into everything I build.
Active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Served a two-year mission in Tijuana, Mexico — leading teams, teaching communities, and developing a deep commitment to serving others before myself.
Consistent training is how I stay sharp mentally and physically. Discipline in the gym translates directly — the habits that build a better athlete build a better professional.
I genuinely enjoy reading across a wide range of topics and genres. Brandon Sanderson's Mistborn series is a personal favorite — the kind of intricate, layered storytelling that trains you to think in systems and long-term consequences.
Grew up playing a wide variety of games across different genres. It built pattern recognition, strategic thinking, and the ability to focus for long stretches. It also gives me a genuine connection point with the students I tutor — when kids know you speak their language, they're a lot more willing to do the hard work.
Open to internship opportunities, finance conversations, and tutoring inquiries.
